An annual comprehensive eye exam will ensure the following: The maintenance of clear vision and healthy eyes. More opportunities to detect certain eye diseases that may not have symptoms. More opportunities to detect chronic systemic diseases, such as high blood pressure, and diabetes. The proper screening and treatment for glaucoma, cataracts, eye infections, red eyes, allergy eyes, and dry eyes.

Children’s Eye Exams

Frequent eye examinations for children are very important. Early detection and treatment of any eye problems will improve your child's ability to learn and get the most out of school. We will screen and treat your child for any refractive error, amblyopia, strabismus, and focusing problems.

Referral to Ophthalmologists

We will make rapid referrals to ophthalmologists for all eye conditions that require further assessment or timely treatment.

Digital Retinal Photography

A digital retinal image can give an overview or map of a patient’s retina and serve as ocular documentation. This detailed view of the retina will enable us to make important comparisons if potential problems show themselves at future examinations. This tool is also helpful in educating patients as well as to highlight changes or risks detected within the eye.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) uses light waves to capture high-resolution three-dimensional images of ocular tissues. These cross-sectional images can allow us to detect early signs of eye diseases, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy, which can lead to irreversible blindness.

Digital Slit Lamp Imaging

Digital Slit Lamp Photography is the documentation of the frontal and surrounding structures of the eye. Many ocular conditions that affect these parts of the eye are very subtle and difficult to see. Slit Lamp Photography can help accentuate these conditions by utilizing a variety of magnifications, angles of view, and types of illumination. This will also allow us to manage external diseases and conditions of the eye, such as blood vessel growth, cataracts, and pterygium.

Automated Visual Field Testing

A visual field test determines the full range of what you are able to see peripherally. This test is Important in detecting neurological diseases, such as tumours, stroke, and aneurysms, and to screen or monitor glaucoma.

LASIK Surgery Consultations and Care

We can give you a LASIK consultation to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of having LASIK performed on your eyes. Also, we can refer you to a laser correction centre and manage pre- and post-LASIK care.
