Insurance Direct Billing

We offer direct billing to some insurance companies. Not all plans are the same and sometimes we are unable to pre-determine the amount of coverage that you may have. Some companies pay fixed allowances for certain procedures and others pay a percentage of the charge. Patients are responsible to pay any deductible amount, co- insurance, or any other balance not paid by their insurance. Please visit us to find out if your insurance plan is eligible.

What does OHIP cover?
Children - Patients aged 19 and under are covered for one full eye exam every 12 months and any partial exams during that year. Adults - Patients aged 20 to 64 are covered for one full eye exam every 12 months only if they suffer from a medical condition such as diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, cataract, retinal disease, amblyopia, visual field defects, corneal disease, strabismus, recurrent uveitis, or optic pathway disease. Seniors - Patients aged 65 and over are covered for one full eye exam every 12 months and any partial exams during that year. ODSP (Ontario Disability Support Program) - Patients in this program are covered for one full eye exam every 24 months. OW (Ontario Works) - Patients in this program are covered for one full eye exam every 24 months.
